The limited production Estate series provides a forum for our Winemaker to explore unusual varietals and unique winemaking methods. The fruit is grown on the hillside vineyards surrounding our winery and from cooler vineyard sites in Anderson Valley. The Estate wines offer an opportunity for curious wine drinkers to experience non-traditional varietals rarely produced beyond French borders. Planted to steep hillsides on our Russian River Valley winery estate, our small Picpoul Blanc vineyard is planted on a steep, northeast facing slope, receiving earlier, cooler sun exposure. In the south of France, Picpoul Blanc is a common, everyday sipper that goes well with many different foods, including shellfish and sharp, dried cheeses.
